DCP1240 
 Clock tower of St Mary's Church at Newchurch in Pendle showing the Eye of God. The restored tower is the only original part of the chuch. There has been a chapel on the site since 1250 with the current church being built in the 17th century. The Eye of God in the west face of the tower was added to offer protection from witchcraft.
